Living in Paris, you cannot imagine how much the current French Socialist government is the worst we ever had. Instead of working on reducing the crazy expenses of the French State and of the stupendious welfare system (57% of the yearly GNP) they are increasing taxes to a never reached point never seen in Europe and they are now inventing puritan laws that even the most conservative tea party in the US would have never dared to propose. They want to fine clients to eliminate prostitution but instead of that they will simply push the working ladies to a more instable and dramatic situation and under the influence of pimps and mafia network. Instead of protecting the ladies, they will get exactly the opposite. French Socialists are the cancer of French society. I wrote french socialist because having some British and German friends involved in both labour and SPD and they are much more realistic than their French alter ego. The best way would be to make prostitution legal and to offer a real protection to the ladies. With the money they will spend to chase clients they should chase pimps instead.
